This means that we have to eat a well-balanced diet which also includes fruits, vegetables, few dairy foods, fish, and poultry products. It will also be helpful if we take multivitamins and other food supplements.

Eating right also means avoiding the intake of caffeinated and alcoholic beverages. Instead, you have to drink beverages that are alcohol-free and non-caffeinated drinks.

There is also a great chance that you will be taking medications as a bipolar disorder treatment to overcome your mood swings. Some of these drug-based medications have side effects and of these side effects is weight gain. So, aside from eating the right kind of foods, you also have to do exercises to increases your body’s metabolism and help you combat stress.

Some of the simple yet effective exercises are running, jogging, walking. Your brain becomes preoccupied wit the things in your environment when you do your exercise outside. Seasonal and weather changes may also affect your mood. You can counter this by planning ahead of time of the things you want to do during those days.
